DEEMED FIT DONATES 100% of NET PROCEEDS FROM THE NEVER FORGET COLLECTION SALES TO THE TUNNEL TO TOWERS FOUNDATION
Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries out its mission to “do good,” by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. Our company’s founder, Mike De Marino’s father, NYPD Deputy Chief Vincent DeMarino, died of 9/11 related brain cancer on December 6, 2019. Chief DeMarino was one of the thousands of first responders who spent months down at Ground Zero during the rescue and recovery efforts made by first responders after the September 11 attacks.
“Our Never Forget Collection honors the sacrifices made by our fallen heroes. We want people to wear this shirt proudly and let it serve as a reminder to never forget the selfishness and bravery of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice,” shared Mike DeMarino.
Mike has always been familiar with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s mission to do good by supporting America’s greatest heroes and their families; he ran in the 5K Run & Walk NYC a few of times. ”
“I ran the 5k two years ago. While running I remember passing the photos of all of the 9/11 heroes who died in the line of duty, passing the FDNY and NYPD boats and seeing my fellow first responders run in full gear“, said Mike. “It was an unforgettable experience for me that inspired me to do more for the Foundation.“

FUNDRAISING FOR BEYOND THE BADGE NYC IN 2023
In April 2023, DeemedFit embarked on an initiative to support Beyond the Badge NY, a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting first responders who face mental health challenges. Through apparel sales, we raised an impressive $3,000 by selling apparel items that carried a powerful message highlighting the link between exercise and happiness: "lift smile repeat."
The initiative kicked off with DeemedFit's passionate team recognizing the critical need to address the mental health struggles experienced by first responders. They identified Beyond the Badge NY as an organization that shares their mission and decided to collaborate to make a difference in the lives of those who serve and protect.
To raise funds, DeemedFit designed and sold a range of high-quality shirts featuring the uplifting slogan "lift smile repeat." The shirts not only served as stylish apparel but also acted as a symbolic reminder of the importance of mental well-being.
The $3,000 raised through apparel sales proved to be a significant contribution to Beyond the Badge NY's ongoing efforts to provide crucial mental health support to first responders. The funds were utilized to expand existing programs, enhance mental health resources, and create initiatives aimed at reducing the stigma surrounding mental health in the first responder community.
DeemedFit's commitment to social responsibility and their collaboration with Beyond the Badge NY exemplify the power of grassroots initiatives in addressing vital issues such as mental health.
FUNDRAISING FOR PS I LOVE YOU
In March 2024, DeemedFit in collaboration with a nonprofit organization Project Accounted For, raised $1,000 for PS I LOVE YOU, a nonprofit organization that spreads mental health awareness in the Long Island, New York area. .
To raise funds for PS I LOVE YOU, DeemedFit launched a limited-edition collection of apparel specifically designed to promote mental health awareness. These products including hoodies that said “R U OK”, which is considered a universal symbol for fostering conversation about the mental health of individuals.
The funds raised by DeemedFit will undoubtedly have a positive impact on PS I LOVE YOU's efforts to raise mental health awareness. The organization utilizes these funds to offer counseling service and create resources that promote understanding and empathy towards mental health challenges.
By supporting organizations like PS I LOVE YOU, we can collectively work towards removing the stigma surrounding mental health and ensure that individuals struggling with
mental illness receive the support and understanding they need.
DONATION OF 50 HOODIES AS THANK YOU TO NASHVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
DeemedFit, a first responder owned apparel company, demonstrated its support and appreciation for first responders by donating an entire collection to Nashville Police Department.
DeemedFit has a strong ambassador program, made up of mostly first responders throughout the country who represent the brand with great honor and integrity. DeemedFit has multiple ambassadors from Nashville PD representing the brand, and as a token of appreciation to their efforts as well as the men and women of the Nashville Police Department, DeemedFit donated 50 hoodies to the department.
DEEMEDFIT VISITS NY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOR FUN, FITNESS AND LEARNING
In May 2023, DeemedFit promoted the significance of exercise among young minds. The DeemedFit team visited an elementary school in Long Island, where they engaged with students and imparted valuable knowledge about the importance of exercise.
During the interactive session, the DeemedFit team emphasized the numerous benefits of regular exercise, both in terms of physical health and mental well-being. They explained how engaging in physical activities not only strengthens the body but also boosts cognitive function, enhances mood, and promotes overall happiness.
To make the session more engaging and relatable, the DeemedFit team organized fun exercises and games that allowed the students to actively participate and experience the joy of movement. Through these activities, the students learned about the importance of staying active, developing good habits from a young age, and incorporating exercise into their daily lives.
In addition to their informative presentation, DeemedFit generously provided student with branded youth hats as a token of motivation and encouragement to stay active.
The impact of DeemedFit's visit was evident in the students' enthusiasm and newfound understanding of the importance of exercise. The event sparked a sense of curiosity and inspired the young minds to explore different forms of physical activity, whether it be sports, dance, or simply playing outdoors.
